Gym Class Heroes new single

After a brilliant run of summer performances, headlines dates and festivals - Gym Class Heroes return with their single, 'The Queen & I? set for release digitally on October 22nd and physically on October 29th through Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen. It follows the phenomenal success of 'Cupid?s Chokehold(Breakfast In America)? which stayed in the UK Top 10 for more than 8 weeks as well as the most recent Top 10 smash hit 'Clothes Off? (which still resides in the UK Top 20 singles chart).

'It?s a personal song,' says frontman Travis McCoy, 'about girls who fancy alcoholic beverages, girls who like to have too much of a good time. I have weird underlying issues with females and alcohol. This song is kind of like closure, though you?d never get that vibe listening to the song. It?s fun to do things like that, make music that?s fun with a really poppy vibe, but when you listen to the lyrics, it?s like, 'Holy shit, that dude just said,? If you?re not paying attention, you think it?s just another radio ditty that sticks in your head, but then when you really listen you see it?s a whole lot more.'

Gym Class Heroes are having a brilliant year doing what they love most. Continuing in the tradition of kicking out genre-busting jams that seamlessly meld rap, rock, R&B, and anything else that happens to strike the musically voracious outfit?s fancy. Breaking musical boundaries and changing perceptions of what hip-hop or indie or rock can be, with Gym Class Heroes, what you see isn?t always what you get. Though the overall feel of their album 'As Cruel As School Children? is bright and breezy, McCoy?s personal, playful lyrics can often be peeled back to reveal hidden layers of emotion and introspection, notably on songs such as this forthcoming single, The Queen and I.

Gym Class Heroes have spent much of the last two years doing what they do best ? playing live. They have headlined sold out dates, and toured the rock world with acts like Fall Out Boy and the Warped tour, as well as taking a firm stance in the indie hip hop circuit, constantly out there bringing their unique hip-hop vision to new fans.
Rolling Stones quash 'retirement' rumours

The Rolling Stones have quashed rumours they are to retire.

Singer Mick Jagger has said that he plans to continue recording and touring with the band.

He said: "I'm sure the The Rolling Stones will do more things and more records and more tours. We've got no plans to stop any of that really. As far as I'm concerned I'm sure we'll continue."

Jagger added that he would use his "own judgement" to decide when it was time to stop.

He said: "The trouble is, when you get older or you smoke a lot your voice changes. As a singer you know you can't go to certain notes. But that is not everything, it's the express you put into it."

Jagger also said he wasn't that keen to headlining Glastonbury on the Sunday night.

He said: "I don't want to play Glastonbury on the Sunday night in the pouring rain, which is what The Who did this year.

"I was watching it on the telly, and my kids were there. I'm on the phone saying, 'It's awful.' They said it was really fun, but it didn't look fun to me."

Of Amy Winehouse he told the BBC: "I think everyone goes through this sort of thing when they become very famous. Hopefully Amy will come out of this the other side with equanimity and a new lease of life."
